The term content is generally known as filling of the site space with text, audio, video, and graphics. Mostly it’s associated with the textual components of the site.

Nowadays web-masters are trying to make the content of the site as interesting for users as possible, so the problem of content becomes more and more actual. Therefore the main question is as follows: where to find the material which will make net-surfers visit this particular page?

There are two general types of content: the borrowed and the original. The borrowed content charges the site with the material taken from on-line and off-line sources; the original content is unique, it’s created specially to serve a definite site. Both of these types have advantages and disadvantages for optimizators and web-masters. For example, the borrowed content is fast and easy to make, rather cheap, but it arises lots of copyright issues. Most search systems contain filters which check the content for plagiarisms. If the latter is found, the site automatically goes to the last places in the search results list. Now the borrowed content works well to attract the search traffic and organize monetization with the help of different partner programs. 

The original content is much harder to create, thus it costs more. The uniqueness and high quality of such content attract more visitors to the site.

There are ways to convert the borrowed content to original such as rewriting (interpretation of the same meaning in other words) or sinonimization (replacing some words in the text with sinonims and changing of paragraph division of the whole text). Copywriting has become a widely spread business as well as translation. There are some easy rules which can help you to create the content or to estimate the work of copyrighters. Firstly, the text should be written in the easy language, understandable, laconic, and up-to-date. The more the content of the site refer to visitors’ expectations, the better and the more effective it works. The content must be informative and offer real help in finding information. Contemporary net users aren’t likely to spend time on looking for information, so the content has to be cleverly organized and accompanied by some visual material, otherwise the potential client will lose temper and leave the site.
